GPP NZ Office planned for 2010

What's happening with GPP currently in NZ ?     After the Launch Tour in August, the GPP Teams around the country - and myself -  all had a much needed rest.  I then continued with my role as Marketing Manager at the Bethlehem Tertiary Institute in Tauranga.   However, I soon realised that there was work to be done to ensure that the momentum created in the Launch Tour could be maintained and the awareness that the Project had developed, could continue to be grown and utilised.   So I  resigned from BTI to help develop the next Phase.   This is called THE GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT.   Our plan is to train a NZ group of Presenters - reflecting our socio-demographic breakdown - so the GPP can be made available to varying community groups of different geographic, demographic, age and faith groups.    It has been exciting to get back around the country to meet with the amazing volunteers and our key Partners and Supporters.     Our aim is to fund a GPP NZ office in 2010, train up Presenters and meet the growing requests from communities around the country wanting to host a Presentation.    This is it .... quite simply .... we need to get the ground-breaking presentation,   1.4 billion reasons,   out to more people.  We know it is Informative, Compelling and Challenging.   Now we need to get thousands more Kiwis motivated to take action and become part of the movement to end extreme poverty.

If you want to help us fund a GPP NZ office or you are connected to a network that would want to see the Presentation - contact me Luisa.Schroder@globalpovertyproject.com.

We can and will all make a difference if we get involved and take action
